In 2005 and 2006 Arts Care artist in residence for The South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust, formely Down Lisburn Trust (DLT), Colin McGookin, facilitated a series of arts workshops in hospitals and day centres right across the Trusts area. During these sessions clients and staff created a cast of characters and backgrounds from a wide variety of media which were then magically orchestrated into a beautiful short story by writer Kareen Pennefather. An original soundtrack by clients and staff was facilitated by Arts Care musician in residence Brendan Popplestone and the whole ensemble was digitally animated by Colin McGookin.

Brendan Popplestone narrates the story of the very busy family with their blue dog ‘Forgotten’ who had an old ball that was a bit chewed and rotten. But what happens when Grandpa brings the dog a brand new bright red ball that goes bouncing off, leading everyone onto a magical mystery tour to some very strange places indeed.

Featuring artwork and music by The South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust clients and staff at Lagan Valley Hospital Lisburn, Thompson House Hospital Lisburn, Seymour House Lisburn, Slieve Grane House Downpatrick, Downshire Hospital Downpatrick, Finniston House Downpatrick and Accept at the Junction Lisburn.

The animation was premiered in July 2006 at The Island Arts Centre Lisburn with an accompanying exhibition entitled 'Let's Play Our Story' which displayed all of the artworks made for the animation. The animation has also been released on DVD.
